Taawon (Welfare Association) is a non-profit, civic organization launched in Geneva in the year 1983, upon the initiative of a group of Palestinian business leaders and intellectuals. Taawon has become one of the largest organizations operating in Palestine and the diaspora camps in Lebanon, whereby it touches the lives of more than one million Palestinians on an annual basis, with half of these beneficiaries being women.
Taawon and the Malaysian Embassy launch a project to support Gaza orphans with a budget of $100,000.
In partnership with the Embassy of Malaysia in Amman, Taawon has launched a USD 100,000 project to support orphans in Gaza through the Gaza Orphans Care Noor Program. This initiative will address the essential and urgent needs of orphaned children, including medical supplies, food, clothing, temporary shelter and social and psychological support, reaffirming Malaysia's commitment to humanitarian efforts in Palestine.
